Account data: Name, email address, and password (hashed) when you register.
Content data: Stories, chapters, scenes, notes, and world elements you create on the platform.
Usage data: Pages visited, features used, word counts, and session duration for product improvement.
Payment data: Processed securely via Stripe. We do not store card numbers.

3. Your Content Is Yours

You retain 100% intellectual property ownership of everything you write on Publishme AI. We do not claim any rights to your stories, characters, or world elements. We only process your content to provide the service (e.g., sending it to AI models for generation).

4. How We Use Your Information

To provide and improve the writing platform
To authenticate your account and maintain sessions
To process AI generation requests on your behalf
To send important notifications (subscription, security)
To analyse aggregate usage patterns (never individual content)

5. AI Processing

When you use AI features, your text is sent to third-party AI providers (currently DeepSeek) to generate responses. These providers process your content under their own privacy policies. We do not use your content to train AI models without explicit consent.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with:

AI providers (for generation requests)
Payment processors (Stripe)
Hosting infrastructure providers
Collaborators you explicitly invite to your projects

7. Data Retention

We retain your account and content data for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time via Settings → Privacy → Delete My Data.

8. Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and access controls. No system is 100% secure — please use a strong, unique password.
